Here are some FAQs that may help you know more about what to expect:

Q. How many people will be there?

A. If you’re an introvert and worried about being in a space with too many new faces, I got you girl! This will be a very small private group and I promise you, you’ll be okay. There will be no pressure on you to share more than what you feel comfortable. The space available naturally puts a limit to the number of people, so you can be assured that the number won’t be more than those that you can count on your fingers (and maybe toes!)

Q. You haven't mentioned the exact timing!

A. We’ll fix the final timing based on the availability of the majority. What I’m looking at right now is a weekday, late in the evening.

Q. Will I be needed to get anything along?

A. Yes! An open mind and a smiling face! I’m kidding… just come as you are.

Q. Will this eat a lot of my time?

A. The support group meetings will not last more than an hour. Other than the meetings, whatever time is spent, will be on yourself only! (Eg. You may feel inspired to start journaling or exercising). Nothing will be mandatory (other than showing up for the support group meetings once every month)… this isn’t school!

Q. What will we be doing exactly?

A. Support group meetings involve discussions, sharing of experiences, learning about PCOS, getting to know various ways to tackle PCOS, being okay with having PCOS and moving towards getting rid of PCOS. Each month will have a theme – Eg. Diet for PCOS, Managing Weight etc. Share your triumphs, setbacks, and everything in between in a supportive and non-judgmental environment.

Q. How long will the support group go on for? Will it be forever?

A. While the resources made available, insights gained and changed perspectives will last with you forever, the meetings will be a limited affair. There will be a total of 12 meetings (1 per month).

Q. Can I get my friend to sign up too?

A. Yes, any and every fellow-cyster is free to sign up. All we need is for her to commit to attending the 12 sessions.

Q. Why are you doing this? What's in it for you?

A. I believe that everything becomes easier when you have someone that gets what you’re going through! I see a lot of cysters struggle with maintaining the motivation to continue their treatment or get frustrated when their periods don’t come or just feel too lazy to do anything about it even though they want to! I believe that a kind word, a shared laughter and some information bytes that can be practically used, can go a long way. If even 1 of you manages to get rid of PCOS thanks to this group, the satisfaction I’d get, will be my reward!
